年輕賭徒求助飆升 21歲仔欠債70萬元 團體反對增賽馬聯播

監察賭風聯盟召集人鄧耀祖指，馬會一直以打擊非法賭博為由，向政府申請改變博彩稅制、增加賽馬日等，每次都順利過關，惟他指出，增加賽馬日或轉播外國賽事，卻是協助外圍莊家開更多賭盤，變相成為馬會與外圍莊家的競賽，最終只會令賭風更為熾熱。
鄧又提到，馬會聲稱今次申請對年輕人影響輕微，馬會透過不同途徑鼓勵市民開設投注戶口，相信相關户口近日已激增，認為年輕人容易掌握網上投注，影響將非常深遠。
工業福音團契問題賭徒復康中心主任冼家慧補充指，2014年的賭徒求助個案中，40歲以上佔86%，39歲以下則佔14%；及至2018年，39歲以下的求助者卻已增加逾1倍至35%，可見年輕人沉迷賭博問題愈趨嚴重，亦破壞他們的家庭關係。
鄧耀祖又指，馬會今次的申請是打破逾百年的慣例，讓馬迷在歇暑期間也可繼續賭馬，除了助長賭風，亦剝削馬迷與年幼子女僅餘的親子時間。他促請政府不應過度依賴博彩稅及馬會捐獻，形容將變相令馬會代替了政府部分社會職能及責任，包括社會福利、醫療、環保等範疇，亦令馬會成為政府不敢開罪的機構。
年僅21歲的Sky指，他18歲申請了馬會的投注户口，馬會更向他贈送許多優惠券，吸引他參與賭博，包括賽馬及足球等，及後再在朋人介紹下賭外圍，希望靠其高賠率「搵快錢」，其後更做外圍庄家的「艇仔」，形容當時的「賭仔心態」是「有錢繼續玩」，至今已欠債達70萬港元。Sky直言，是馬會引導他參與賭博，認為若馬會增加賽馬日及聯播海外賽事，將令賭風及外圍賭博更熾熱。
